Ben Cousins revealed his newest family member in a heartwarming video posted on Instagram on his birthday.
The Channel 7 sports presenter and former AFL player turned 46 on Sunday, and the celebrations included plenty of cuddles with his new puppy, Daisy.
“Newest addition to the household . . . Our fearless and ferocious miniature dachshund . . .Daisy ❤️,” Cousins said in his first Instagram post.
The young pup was cuddling with Cousins and his children in the video, leaving the family beaming with smiles.
It was no surprise that Instagram users were instantly in love.
“So cute!!! They bring so much joy and love … enjoy your beautiful fur baby ????????????,” said one user.
“Great first post, Ben. Family and dogs. Awesome ❤️,” said another.
Cousins is set to showcase his dancing skills on this year’s season of Dancing With The Stars, which is set to hit the airwaves in early June.
He said the training had been “intense,” and he had to overcome a “steep learning curve.”
“I’m just learning to move in a totally different way, and there’s been some tough days, I must admit,” Cousins told The West Australian ahead of the show’s premiere.
