Port Adelaide star Zak Butters has learnt his fate for a late head-high bump on Fremantle forward Bailey Banfield.
The umpires did not blow the whistle when Butters made high contact with Banfield in the dying stages of the Power’s three-point win over Fremantle at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.
The AFL’s match review officer agreed there was nothing for Butters to answer for, with the Power vice-captain not cited nor an explanation given in the findings released on Sunday.
Butters remains eligible for the Brownlow Medal after being cleared and was paying $18 (according to TAB) on Sunday morning, following a fourth-place finish in 2023.
Port Adelaide defender Brandon Zerk-Thatcher was the only player to come under scrutiny, fined $3750 for rough conduct against Fremantle forward Jye Amiss.
Zerk-Thatcher made contact with Amiss in a marking contest in the last quarter, with that incident graded intentional conduct, low impact and body conduct.

He can accept a reduced $2500 fine with an early plea.
